Languages: English, Mandarin, Cantonese

Pheng (Ping) graduated from University College and Royal Free Medical School (London, UK) and completed most of her post-graduate training in England. She spent a year working in Melbourne in 2003 before returning to the UK, where she was admitted to the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2008. Having enjoyed her time in Melbourne, she decided to relocate permanently in 2011. Pheng has been caring for the Altona North community since then and co-founded Altona North Medical Hub/Circle Health to create a welcoming and patient-focused healthcare space.

She takes a holistic, slow medicine approach and has a strong passion for lifestyle medicine, shaped by her own experience with gestational diabetes. She believes in empowering patients to make small but impactful changes that lead to lasting health improvements.

With experience across all areas of general practice, she has additional skills in skin checks, minor procedures, and Implanon insertions/removals. Her key areas of interest include women’s health, paediatrics, mental health, chronic disease management and palliative care.

Beyond the clinic, Pheng is actively involved in the community. She has presented a TEDx talk on health and well-being and contributes to local initiatives like the Western Bulldogs’ Daughters of the West program, supporting women’s health and wellness. Outside of work, she finds balance and inspiration in the natural world, embracing awe and curiosity through yoga, meditation, permaculture, and time spent in nature.
